Ms. Amanda, Head of School |

I’m Ms. Amanda, and I’m honored to serve as the Head of School of CLP Bucktown. My CLP journey began in 2015, and in 2018 I proudly joined the Bucktown family, where I’ve had the privilege of leading alongside our incredible co-captains, Ms. Rooha and Ms. Dana. Together, we support a team of more than 30 passionate educators and welcome over 100 children and families into our program each day. While no two days ever look the same, one thing never changes—our unwavering commitment to providing the very best early education and nurturing environment for every child who walks through our doors. My story begins in Mexico, where I was born, before my family relocated to Dallas, Texas, where I grew up. In 8th grade, I visited Chicago and told myself, “One day, I’m going to move here.” Years later, after earning my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University, I packed up my life, moved to Wrigleyville—knowing no one—and jumped headfirst into a new adventure. In 2015, I joined CLP Lakeview as a Lead Infant Teacher, advanced to Director, and by early 2018, proudly stepped into my role as Head of School. Each of these chapters shaped me into the leader I am today, and I feel fortunate every day to work in a community that inspires me, challenges me, and fills my heart with purpose. Outside of CLP, I love strolling the Logan Square Farmer’s Market on Sundays, buying concert tickets at the last minute, taking spontaneous red-eye flights across the U.S., and—like many of us—scrolling Instagram a little too much. I look forward to welcoming you to CLP Bucktown, where our staff’s dedication and our families’ trust create something truly special. |

Ms. Jessica, Director |
Hello, my name is Ms. Jessica and I first joined our CLP family in 2012. I started my career at our Bucktown location as an assistant teacher, then moved to lead teacher in our infant program. As my experience grew, so did my opportunities with the company; after several years as the infant lead teacher, I moved up to lead a classroom of two year-olds while also taking on a “Manager on Duty” position. This then lead to learning the ropes to become Assistant Director. I am currently the Assistant Director of our brand new location here in West Town. My goal as an educator: is to advocate for children, promote development & growth, and assist families with their child’s educational goals. A little about me; I was born & raised in Chicago and after graduating from high school I spent some time in Puerto Rico for a few years before I returned t0 attend college. As a child I wanted to be “just like my mom – a teacher”, and I have fulfilled that dream. I would one day like to continue my education. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, cleaning and also spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to working with the children, families and staff here at CLP West Town. My “desk” is always open for questions, comments or concerns. |
